With more than 50 kilometers long both trekking and mountain climbing, including the “Great Wall of Vietnam" (a wall about 100 meters high), the Son Doong expedition is considered to be extremely difficult. But it is a once in a lifetime experience and its spectacular view is well worth visiting!
Travel - note: The expeditions are only available from February to August with a duration of 5 to 7 days. This is the most costly expedition in the area, and you must book many months in advance. Oxalis is the travel agency that hosts this tour.
Phong Nha cave - the heart of the park
In addition to the long tour of Son Doong cave, there are short trips that take visitors to visit other stunning caves. Within them, Phong Nha cave is the most outstanding with a series of world records for
the highest and longest cave, the longest underground river, finest beaches inside, and the most splendid stalagmites and stalactites.
Travel - note: Ticket for this cave is 150,000 VND ($7) per person. The Phong Nha tour is usually extended to visit Tien Son cave and Paradise cave.

About 30 minutes from Phong Nha town,
Dark Cave - Chay River is a popular and exciting tourist destination when you travel to Phong Nha - Ke Bang. After kayaking over the Chay river, tourists can zipline to reach to Dark cave's entrance. The zipline system has two more than 3.5 kilometers of slides, start from Mooc Stream to Dark Cave and running along the Chay River.
Travel - note: You can be booked this tour at almost any homestay or hotel in Phong Nha or just simply need to rent a bike and visit it by yourself.
Mud bathing in Dark Cave is a tourist favorite activity.
